Letter 17 - June 24th, 1890

Mayor Franklin Wright,

I fear Warwick’s cemetery is entirely too crowded. There is scarcely any room for further burials, and several ill inmates are presently expected to live but another month. I know you possess an extraordinary amount of land near Hemlock, and I was wondering if we might find a solution to our predicament. If you would be willing to sell several acres of land to Warwick, that would be sufficient for the next decade or so. I am well aware that you are a generous man—and above all, a reasonable man.
