Sept. 2012 Letter 15 - January 9th, 1883 Dear Rodger, One of the most intriguing landmarks I have come across near Hemlock is the covered bridge over Schwartz Creek. There is a sign that hangs from the roof with the words ‘Morbus Tenebris’ engraved into it. I assume it is Latin, but I know not its translation. I am aware that you have studied Latin extensively throughout your life, and perhaps you might know what this means? If you are able to respond promptly, I will be very grateful.
