Sometime after seven o’ clock p.m., terrible shrieks and screams resounded from Warwick. The repeatedly tolling bell from the main tower seemed to signal that something had gone horribly wrong. We made certain our doors were locked. Earlier this morning, Fredrick spoke to a policeman who explained that most of the inmates had escaped. I wonder what truly happened.
