Letter 22 - October 28th, 1847

Dear Governor Dogwood,

I am beyond grateful that you would be this understanding. The presence of soldiers will ease the concerns of our postmen. And once their deliveries resume, the confidence of Hemlock’s citizens should be restored once and for all. Furthermore, I am equally certain that these mail coach robbers will flee once they see troops marching valiantly across the valley. Perhaps soon they shall be driven out forever; and for this we can only hope and pray. Once more, I commend your swift reply and actions. You have earned the unwavering respect of Hemlock.

Your most humble and obedient servant,
Michael A. Beauregard
