Journal Entry 7 - [Date Not Available]

A man who claims he used to be the mayor of Hemlock is now my cellmate. But I do not believe him. He does not speak much and always appears frightened. Leaders are not supposed to be afraid. The man is a liar no doubt. He belongs in this prison, but I do not. I should be free. Yet here we both are, rotting. I still await the grand insurrection of which I have been foretold. By the wanes and waxes of the moon, the night of the revolt shall befall this loathsome purgatory. We will become the captain of the ship! And will there be mutiny? Yes, of course there will; for why would there not? In the meantime, I must say nothing and wait. Mr. Randolph must especially not learn of this.
