Monster Dwelling in Mansfield’s Inn

The origins of this story are not apparent, but at some point, tales about a bizarre man hiding within the unoccupied rooms of Mansfield’s Inn spread throughout Hemlock. The being reputedly has a bald, oblong head and dark emerald-green skin. And his irises are of a deep crimson shade. He speaks little, if at all, and responds only by slightly shifting the expression upon his face. Some have claimed to see him carrying a lantern while striding along the valley’s lonely, unlit roads. When approached by strangers, he only bestows upon them an inhospitable half-smile before extinguishing the light and attempting to abduct them.
