Sept. 2012 Bat-Winged Beast of the Blackstone Hillocks Travelers have consistently sworn that on the passage winding through the Blackstone Hillocks, a bat-winged creature soars through the night sky. The beast is described as skeletal but broad-boned; walking upright; around twelve feet in height; and with a wingspan of eleven to twelve feet. A loud, unnatural howl is said to precede his appearances. It is thus no surprise that many believe the creature is responsible for the frequent disappearances along the passage.
