Morley the Jester Puppeteer
‘Morley’ is a name seldom spoken aloud by those dwelling in Hemlock. Perhaps this is because of its unsettling origins. The name was first used by Irene Hamilton, who was one of the only two residents to survive the Autumn of 1851. However, she never recovered from her delirium and was committed to Warwick for the remainder of her life. She frequently rambled in her cell about a ‘medieval jester’ who transfigured the denizens into puppets—seizing them all before departing. Of course, her claims were dismissed as figments of her broken mind’s imagination. Nevertheless, some individuals deeply fear that there is an ounce of truth to Irene’s rants.
