What Roams the Valley at Night
Stories have been told by travelers of unseen creatures prowling throughout the entire valley—and of the land itself coming to life. It is commonly believed that the cornstalks in the fields will attempt to drag travelers off the roads. Moreover, the hills—upon which pumpkins grow wildly in October—are also said to harbor an odious presence beneath the soil. Some claim the vines of pumpkins will clutch the unwary.
