The Bloodcurdling Bellow at Sunset

Many travelers have told tales of a bloodcurdling bellow that echoes over the land around sunset. It is heard before the sun disappears beneath the horizon—especially when the heavens and clouds are deep hues of red. Although many attribute the cry to some horrendous creature, others believe that it is actually the valley itself wailing—declaring the arrival of the night and awakening of its dreadful denizens. Many who have heard the call also interpret it as an ill-omen or foreshadowing of an untimely demise. Consequently, one must be sensible and understand the bellow as a grave warning. Disregarding what may follow could indeed end gruesomely.
