Lost Letters
Letter 59 - November 9th, 1898
Mr. Brakefield,
Last night I did not finish removing every piece of furniture from the mortuary’s first floor. I was alone the entire night and am dumbfounded by the absence of the others you had promised would be there. Not only do I demand twofold of what we first agreed upon, but I shall never go to the trouble of moving anything for you ever again. It was well after three a.m. by the time I departed. I had no assistance whatsoever. You will be fortunate if word does not spread, for if anyone realizes where we obtained this furniture, no one will bid on it—and for good reason. There hangs a very bad sense over each room. Everyone knows something horrible happened within its halls.
My regards,
Todd A. Presley
