Lost Letters

Letter 46 - November 21st, 1888

Dear Mr. Moore,

I apologize for not writing you sooner. I understand your growing concerns for Taylor Dickinson. Rest assured, I am presently doing everything within my power to uncover your friend’s whereabouts. I sent several officers to find the inn you mentioned, yet no such establishment could be found. My detective has thoroughly searched all property records and was unable to obtain an address. Oddly, it seems there are no official documents of any such place ever existing within the valley. Furthermore, there were no records to be recovered of an innkeeper whose surname is ‘Mansfield.’ Should we discover anything further, I shall write you at once.

Regards,
Chief McArthur
