Letter 41 - November 14th, 1888

Taylor,

You are thinking rather foolishly. Have you forgotten the innumerable disappearances within the valley? You are imperiling your very soul by returning to Mansfield’s Inn. I implore you to reconsider this absurd idea of yours. The fear you felt on the night you met Mr. Mansfield was by no means irrational. I believe something horrid would’ve happened had you remained there. By traveling back to his inn, you are once more forfeiting your life as you know it. What must I say to convince you otherwise? It is true that there are many unfounded superstitions surrounding the valley, but Mansfield is not some fictional ghost. Nor is he misunderstood. He is very real.

Sincerely, and with much concern,
Allan E. Moore
