Lost Letters

Letter 39 - July 10th, 1890

Mayor Franklin Wright,

If my recollections are correct, you very well might have never been the mayor of Hemlock. I dare say no one would have ever fancied you a leader. Skelton Wright, your brother, was a far more astute politician. It is a tragedy that his auspicious career abruptly ended when you conspired with the previous administrator to commit him to Warwick. From all of the letters I have read, I learned you both came to an agreement: Twelve acres of land in exchange for falsified documentation of Skelton’s lunacy and dementia. I heard he was an ideal patient. It is shameful he passed away before my arrival here.

With utmost respect and reverence,
Jeffrey Randolph
