Lost Letters

Letter 38 - July 7th, 1890

Jeffrey Randolph,

You pretend to not understand my increasing frustration, yet proceed to make enigmatic threats—only further demonstrating that my judgements are not unfounded. I can assure you that any errors I have made throughout my life have never been willfully concealed in darkness. I have always prided myself in being a rather honest gentleman; but I feel as though you cannot say the same about yourself. I suspect that you are hiding something terrible, and that is why you cannot bear to see virtuous men such as myself hold venerable positions in office. I will never be afraid of you, nor your pathetic words.

Yours truly,
Mayor Franklin Wright
