Lost Letters

Letter 37 - November 11th, 1888

Greetings Mr. Moore,

Though I am wont to agree with your sentiments, I wonder if our suspicions are purely due to his corpse-like countenance. What if Mansfield is a harmless gentleman who is deeply troubled by the fear he unintentionally strikes within others? Perhaps if I were to converse with him without exhibiting hesitancy, I could prove that the rumors about Mr. Mansfield are simply nonsense. I intend to return to his inn and speak with him further. For indeed, our forebodings may be entirely in vain.

Respectfully yours,
Taylor Dickinson
