Letter 36 - November 5th, 1888

Dear Taylor,

You should have never stepped foot within that wretched establishment. Mr. Mansfield is never to be trusted. He always speaks with unsettling vagueness and stares far too long for comfort. Although there exists no proof of ill-intention, I’m convinced he has something hidden within that cursed structure. Many believe he is merely an odd man with some unfortunate disfigurement, but I sense something else. It almost seems as if he speaks in threatening riddles and revels in the bewilderment he causes. His sunken eyes, absence of a nose, and cadaverous grin are all too much.

Beware Mansfield always,
Allan E. Moore
