The Decay of Warwick Asylum

Over 77 years after its founding, Warwick forever shut its doors in October of 1897. Though remembered by all, the asylum fell into disrepair, and its unoccupied corridors were no longer echoing with delirium. Instead, a stagnant silence pervaded each wing and every cell. Thus ended the notorious institution that Sir Norman Warwick established three quarters of a century prior. And while the melancholy edifice sat empty, it seemed the madness itself that once dwelled inside refused to fade with the building’s long-expired epoch. Curiosity-seekers were never the same upon returning from their trespasses. What did they see? And why did they begin doubting their own sanity?
