Find the Silver Locket
A silver, heart-shaped locket was lost in the valley long ago—its design quite exquisite. Some suspect that it belonged to the same woman whose spirit appears in coaches and carriages. Should this locket be found and returned by an honest mortal, she will allegedly bestow upon him or her a gift. Many believe that the locket is somewhere hidden deep within Hawthorne’s Bog. Yet only beneath a full moon can it be found. This may be troubling to those who seek the locket, as a shadowy beast is known to lurk within the cattails and grasses, waiting patiently for one to stumble or sink into the mud. Perhaps this is why no one has ever ventured to discover whether this legend is true or merely an old folk tale.
