An Investigation or Nightmare?
One dreary evening in December of 1888, an investigation into two missing individuals prompted detectives and Hemlock policemen to follow their bloodhound far into the valley. The pursuit brought them to the doorsteps of The Spookinite House, which was long-assumed abandoned; however, to their surprise and disquiet, lights shone from a few of the windows. With reluctance, they advanced up to the formidable double-doors. Whatever truly followed inside the mansion after they made entry is something that has been lost to time—as well as the forgotten collective memory of an interred generation. What did the officers find in the seemingly occupied dwelling? And what happened to them on that dark and frigid night?
