The Levitating Candleholder
Travelers have spied, in the windows of the vale’s manor, a levitating candleholder—with no hand gripping its handle, nor a face illuminated by the candleflame’s glow. Rather, it floats about with a will of its own. Intermittently, this light is observed on the grand porch, hovering out from behind the four columns. Yet no sooner than witnesses approach it, the candleholder is seen nowhere. Indeed, such legends have been tied to this locality for decades; though the skeptically inclined scoff at such tales, dismissing them as meager ghost stories for those whose appetites are only satiated by whimsical fancies. Perhaps the only means of ascertaining the truth is for one to seek out this particular haunting.
