Lost Letters
Letter 30 - August 14th, 1850
Dear Brinley,
I very well understand that this letter may come as an utter shock to you, but I felt that it was quite necessary to pen. Much has transpired since the last time I spoke to you. While lost in the valley during the occupation, I made a discovery that must remain hidden. For my life, as well as the lives of the ones whom I hold dear, would be in grave danger should I reveal the truth of what I found. Yet I trust you, and I believe you can deliver me from this predicament. Meet me at Hemlock’s tavern on the 27th. I beg this of you.
Sincerely yours,
Samuel H. Bartholomew
