Journal Entry 53 - October 3rd, 1799
The follies of reason and rationality never cease to bring about my fiery mirth. For madness is the destiny of all mortal fools who incorrigibly seek to unravel the essence of this realm. No doubt, it is evident that through the errors of their very epistemology, they summon forth their repressed sentiments of horror. For when their unredressed metaphysical hypocrisies persist, my dominion merely spreads further. And no more is their knowledge and wisdom. I feel their mental afflictions howl in the long hours of the night; how they writhe in such woeful despair. At length, they will open the gates of their preordained purgatory. Within a century, the Eternal Night shall befall the world.
