Journal Entry 41 - July 18th, 1890

Mayor Wright would rather rot in Warwick than endure the destruction of his reputation. Yet it matters little, for he would have ended up within the confines of a penitentiary either way. He shall be resigning soon, and one of my trusted associates will replace him shortly thereafter. I do believe that Mr. Wright will find comfort in being reunited with the unearthed remains of his brother. And in that dark room, he will have all the time in the world to reflect upon his transgressions. After secretly leaving him in there every night, I’m certain his disposition should change quite drastically. Solitude and darkness are most effective, especially when one must finally look his past deep within the eyes.
