Who Constructed The Spookinite House?
Perhaps one of the most perplexing mysteries in the dark vale is that of the distant benefactor who financed the construction of The Spookinite House. All that is known is that the manor home was completed in September of 1815 and only ever inhabited by one family, who purchased it from the original owner. It was thereafter abandoned at the end of 1837, and has sat seemingly vacant since then. Yet bizarrely, there were records discovered as recently as 1888 that suggested someone else did indeed inhabit the home decades later—and despite its dilapidation and unkept lot. Why was the mansion built? And does someone still secretly inhabit its dusky chambers?
