Follow the White Wolf
A white, ghostly wolf is occasionally described wandering the valley. His glow is especially bright on moonless nights. With piercing eyes, he gazes over the wilderness. Residents of Hemlock believe he guides and protects travelers—but only those of a noble and pure heart. Sometimes his presence may also suggest a looming threat. Should this benevolent specter appear, it would be wise to follow him—for doing so may very well lead you away from some unseen, lurking peril ahead. However, if the white wolf howls, it means you must quickly hide; for danger is thus imminent. Perhaps this legend may seem ridiculous to some, but it certainly does not to those who have seen him.
