Do Not Travel Alone
Nearly every soul in Hemlock warns against travelers entering the valley alone. It is far more sensible to be within the company of others along the way, for this is believed to discourage the many hidden threats watching from afar. Stories of individuals being stalked by unseen presences in the forest; losing their sense of direction; and encountering suspicious strangers are troublingly frequent. It is consequently advised that the longer, alternative routes around the vale may be far safer—even if less convenient. Alas, these warnings do not always dissuade those unfamiliar with the land’s reputation from venturing solitarily regardless.
