The Bust That Sees Ghosts

A lonesome, marble bust proudly protrudes from a small alcove within the antechamber of The Spookinite House. His serious face seems to be frozen in a perpetual glare. Beneath the sculpted countenance and shoulders is the engraved name ‘C.W. Ormiston.’ Those bold enough to have entered the mansion swear upon their souls that the head sometimes turns directions ever so slightly. According to many of these stories, the bust will do this in the presence of a ghost. Depending on the doorway from which the specter appears, the head may turn left or right. Other tales suggest that the bust threateningly leers when the true owner is drawing near.
